Paddington Square is a dynamic £350m retail and commercial development.
The Our Town Hall (OTH) project encompasses the refurbishment and restoration of the Grade I listed Neo-Gothic masterpiece designed by Alfred Waterhouse, opened in 1877, and the redevelopment of the adjacent public realm including Albert Square. The building is in the top 2% of Grade 1 listed buildings. The project is due for completion in 2024.
Lendlease is the appointed Management Contractor, with DGP Logistics required to liaise directly with the Employer, Manchester City Council regarding key logistics interfaces with the adjacent (and connected) operational council offices.
During the initial stages of the Project, DGP Logistics were appointed to deliver Construction Logistic works on site including Traffic Management, Delivery Management, Provision and management of biometric fingerprint Data Touch System, Waste Management, Fire Management, Managing Lifting Operations, Telehandler for Materials Loading and transportation of Heritage Assets to storage Facilities amongst others.
As the Project progressed, DGP were appointed to undertake further works including Heritage Building Protection Works- Install & Maintenance, Fit out Additional Temporary welfare facilities including Covid Control measures / decanting etc, Strip Out works- Removal of wallpapers, partitions, Lead Paint Removal etc from the heritage Building, Carpentry and Fire compartmentation and installation of fire doors, Installation of temporary water management systems during the removal of existing roof works.
DGP Logistics Management Team were awarded the Team Player Collaborator yearly Award which is nominated and recognised by Manchester City Council and Lendlease.
